Who’s the best tutor you know? Help us build the DMV’s trusted tutor board
Middle school is where it changes. Homework gets heavy, tests never stop, and a kid who cruised through elementary school can fall behind fast — and that lost time is very hard to win back.
So the DMV Korean Community Hub is building a verified private tutor board. Good tutors don’t advertise. We’re starting the only way that works: your recommendations.
Who we’re looking for
- Middle school first (grades 6–8): math, English, science, homework & test support, TJ / Academies of Loudoun admissions prep
- High school too: AP, SAT/ACT, essays
- Korean language, piano/violin, and coding tutors welcome
And we’re not asking anyone to give up their own tutor’s hours. If your child’s tutor has room for one more student — or your child recently finished with a great tutor — that’s exactly the name to pass on.
How to nominate
Reply below or message us with:
- The tutor’s name and contact (please ask their permission first)
- Subject / grade levels
- Area (e.g., Centreville, Annandale, Fairfax)
- One line on why they’re good
Every nominated tutor goes through our check — identity and background check included — before they’re listed with a “Verified” badge. Tutors may also apply directly; the same check applies. Parents always use the board free.
